Hi! I'm Janelle, the founder of QALI. Just 3 short weeks ago we opened our doors in downtown Vancouver. It's been so cool to meet our neighbours, clients and members of our online community. We've gotten to share our bright, magical salon with you and, most importantly, we've already helped some of you achieve hair goals that you've been dreaming of for years!
I have always had fine hair and discovered hair extensions at the ripe age of 18. Since then I had tried it all:
- Straight up gluing them to my head with glue that smelled like fish (some of you know what I'm talking about!)
- Monkey bars (worst!!)
- Keratin tips (I tried to make them myself - disaster)
- Clip Ins (which I ended up using most)
I personally never tried a proper weave or tape ins simply because I could never afford to have them done by a professional. Clip ins were my go-to and it stayed that way for years.
In 2016 I was working in New Zealand and a co-worker told me about Loxy's - a hair salon that specialized in hair extensions. Their application method was something I had never tried before, free from adhesives or braiding. I tried it once and was hooked! It was a piece of New Zealand that I knew I had to bring back to Vancouver with me.

There are many factors that determine which type of extensions are best suited to you. During your free consultation we will assess your hair type and lifestyle to determine which method will be most appropriate to fulfil your hair goals.

Extensions aren't for everyone. They take longer to dry, need regular brushing and require ongoing maintenance. Our consultation process walks you through all aspects of hair extensions, our application method and maintenance so you can make the best decision for your expectations, budget and lifestyle.
Maintenance for semi-permanent extensions
Lucky for us, we get to hang out with you every 5-7 weeks for your extension maintenance! During your maintenance appointment we remove the extensions, comb through your hair and adjust the placement slightly so the extensions are attached to different hair each time. The appointments are quick (45 - 75 minutes) and you're on your way!
We value our clients' repeat business, so all maintenance pricing includes taxes and gratuity is not required.
